Charles Edward Miller

Charles (Chuck) Edward Miller, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025, after a long battle with NAFLD. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Heather Miller, daughters Leia Haney and Chelsea Miller, son-in-law Jared Haney, and grandchildren Olivia and Pierce Haney.

Born in Central Falls, Rhode Island, he was the youngest of 9 children. He is preceded in death by parents Frederick F. Miller and Irene F. Miller and siblings Irene (Stewart) Searle and Marilyn (Joe) Charette. He is survived by brothers Fred (Jan) Miller, Al (Kay) Miller, and sisters Alice (Dave) Cornell, Susie (Rod) Moreau, Joanne (Bill) Turinese and Janice Fontaine and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Entering his military service at just 17, Chuck was a proud Army veteran. Years after receiving his honorable discharge, he tended bar in Martha’s Vineyard where he met the love of his life, Heather. After their marriage in 1983, moves from Massachusetts to Colorado and Florida, the family planted roots in Chestnut Hill, Tennessee building the family home by hand. A devoted family man, Chuck could always be found at his daughters’ school and sporting events, recitals and family trips to the mountains. Those who were fortunate to know him will remember his beaming smile, joking nature and occasional finger guns. A retiree in 2015 from a career with A&A Construction, Chuck enjoyed time with his grandchildren, celebrating the New England Patriots’ dynasty and countless Florida Gator championships and creating beautiful works of art with stained glass.

A Celebration of Life to honor him will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Shepard Inn (136 E. Main Street) in Dandridge, Tennessee from 5PM – 8PM. Friends and family are invited to share their stories and pay their respects in memory of Chuck’s legacy.
