Cathy Jo Jacobi, age 56, a Kentucky native, ended her yearlong battle with cancer at 12:23 pm on January 1, 2025, at her home on Land Basket Farm in Russellville, Tennessee.
Cathy passed away peacefully surrounded by love and with the sun shining on her face.
Cathy leaves behind a long legacy of devoted Army spouses, mothers of all ages, dear friends, fellow farm-hers and lovers of chickens, stray dogs and baby kittens.
She was a bright light who will be missed by many for years to come.
She is survived by her husband Kevin, sons Tanner and Blake, daughter-in-law Kayla, Grandchild Penelope, Mother Jean, Father Earl, brother David and sister Paula, best friend Leigh, the entire crew at Land Basket Farm and an untold number of friends, mothers, wives and woman farmers from across the country.
The family will host a Celebration of Life Memorial on Sunday 26 January from 1-4 pm at the Roosevelt Room at 1907 in downtown Morristown. Join us to eat, cry, laugh, reminisce and celebrate the life of Cathy Jacobi. Dress is country casual (boots & jeans ok).

Cathy’s official interment ceremony is a public event held at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Gov. John Sevier Hwy in Knoxville, Tennessee on Monday, 27 January at 1230. Dress is Sunday clothes.
