Brenda Sue McCoy, age 72, of Bean Station, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. She was a member of Redemption Church in Knoxville. She loved to go on mission trips, especially her trip to the Holy Land.
She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Williams Parker; mother, Edith Estelle Dingus Parker; brother, Lowell Parker.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, David Dyke McCoy; daughter, Debbie (Johnny) Brooks; son, Michael (Raisa) Fleenor; step-daughters, Naomi (David) Hanna and Heather McCoy (Sean Coffman); grandchildren, Ashley Brooks, Hunter Brooks, Ty Brooks, Chloe Fleenor (Kolby Anderson), Olivia Fleenor, Hayden Coffman, Molly and Charlee Rose Hanna; great-granddaughters, Ava and Parker Pierce; brother, Lee (Shelia) Parker; sister, Linda (Jack) Mullins; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 5 – 7 p.m. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Collins officiating. Graveside/interment services will be Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Berry Highland South Memorial Park Cemetery in Knoxville.
