Obituary

Bonnie June (Bales) Gilliam, one of our Lord’s greatest servants was called home to be with her Savior, Wednesday, January 13, 2021.  She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William; daughter, Melissa; parents, Jesse and Kate Bales; brothers, Raymond, Albert, Lawton, L.M., Dewey, and Jack; sisters, Elva, Mary Belle; Irene and Faye.

She is survived by her daughter, Melody (Michael) James; son, Marty (Debi) Gilliam; grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley, Katie (Daniel), Weston and Mason; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Alexis.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Pleasant View Baptist Church from 10 – 11 a.m.  Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Brian Rhodes officiating.  Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

The family ask for everyone to wear their mask and practice social distancing.

Words can never express how thankful the family is for all the love, compassion, and care given by the Wellington Manor (family).
