Billie Janette Baskette Adams, of Morristown, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024 at her home.
She was born in Monroe County, TN and moved around the Southern Tennessee Valley area with her family while her father worked for TVA as an electrician, wiring all the new dams. She graduated from Spring City High School in 1953 and was one of 4 remaining classmates. She worked for Congressman Jim Cooper in his Morristown office from 1983 until she retired in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Adams; her parents, William “Bill” D. Baskette (Pop Pop) and Frances, “Mae” Baskette (Mother Mae).
She is survived by her identical twin sons, Shane, and Dennis Adams; her daughter, Janette Adams Erchinger, all of Morristown; brother, DeWayne Baskette (Betty) of Nashville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will host a visitation on June 7, 2024 at Panther Creek State Park, Spoone Pavilion, from 6 to 8 P.M.
