Betty J. Shepard, 72 of Talbott, ended her courageous battle with kidney disease and went to her heavenly home Sunday, March 22, 2020. She was retired from Howmet and was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Brooks and mother, Pearl Hickey; brothers, Wade, Arlie and Wayne Brooks.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Melvin Shepard; son, Scott (Tammy) Shepard; daughter, Michelle (Martin) Jenkins; grandchildren; Mason Shepard, Chelsey, Candace, and Bryson Jenkins, Blaine (Hannah) Blanchard; great-grandchildren, Paisley Jenkins, Elle, Levi, Lilly and Wyatt Blanchard; brothers, Gene Brooks, Junior Hickey and Ricky Hickey; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private visitation Wednesday, March 25, 2020 from 1 – 2 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. Private funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Travis Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Jarnagin Cemetery.
