Arvel Elmo Knight

Arvel E. Knight, age 84, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 at his residence.  He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, with the grandchildren being his pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Knight, parents, James H. and Nellie Fox Knight; father and mother-in-law, Rev. Lloyd L. and Norma McKinney; brother, Wayne Knight; sister, Wanda Knight; sons-in-law, Kyle “Buster” Hayes, and Coy Brooks.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Brooks, and Sharon (Craig) Cloer; mother of his children, LaVonda Knight; grandchildren, Josh (Dreama) Cloer, and Brianna Knight; great-grandchildren, Sara, Gage, and Grayson Cloer; brothers, James C. (Billlie) Knight, and Don L. (Elizabeth) Knight; sister, Barbara Ann Knight; sister-in-law, Mary Knight, daughter-in-law, Roberta L. Knight; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or an organization that is special to you.

A memorial service will be held at a later.
