Glenn Zehnder, age 83, of Rutledge, TN passed away December 2, 2018 at Jefferson County Nursing Home after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. He and his wife, Beverly, moved to TN 20 years ago after his retirement from Moog Control in East Aurora, NY where he was a skilled machinist and section supervisor. He loved Cherokee Lake, relaxing on his porch and riding his jet ski.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Alice Sprague Zehnder.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Hockman Zehnder; son, Bruce (Kim) Zehnder; grandson, Jed (Deb) Zehnder; granddaughter, Janelle (Eric) Enser; great-grandchildren, Emily and Ryan Zehnder, Avery, Claire and Lauren Enser.
The family would like to thank the many staff at the nursing home who gave him love and care. In his moderate stages of Alzheimer’s he attended Alps Adult Day Services where a wonderful and loving staff helped him maintain dignity and quality of life.
In his memory and for many others affected with Alzheimer’s, donations would be lovingly appreciated to Alps Adult Day Services, 600 North Daisy Street, Morristown, TN 37814.
